FAQs

Can I fax or email my registration form to you?

Due to the risk of double registration we only accept forms posted in hardcopy to Conference and Events Office, Liberal Democrats, 4 Cowley Street, London, SW1P 3NB.

Can I change the days/pass type I am registered for?

In some cases it is possible to make changes to passes at the discretion of the conference team. Administration charges may apply.

Do you really need a photo for my registration?

We cannot process forms without photos for security reasons. The photo must be an accurate representation, but need not necessarily be professionally produced if the quality is high enough.

Do fringe events have to be hosted by a member of parliament or can councillors and ordinary party members host them?

Fringe events can be hosted by anyone - ordinary party members, councillors, charities and commercial organisations and is an excellent platform to present a cause close to your heart.

How can I register?

Members can register either online or by returning the completed registration forms in the post. Unfortunately online registration is currently only available to members, but we are working on this. Please note that registrations cannot be taken over the phone or by fax. For more details please see the registration page.

I'm likely to attend the Autumn Conference in September this year, but not the Spring Conference in March - is it possible to book autumn conference only at a reduced rate before the end of March?

Please note that registrations for the Autumn Conference only can not be made until the Spring Conference has past. After the Spring Conference has taken place the applicable registration forms will be available from our website.

I am speaking at a fringe event - how do I get access to the event?

Please contact the organisation that has asked you to speak as all necessary arrangements are made with them. The registration team will not be able to deal with your query.

Is there a fringe-only pass?

No, but members have the choice to register for just one day on-site, whilst commercial observers have to register for a minimum of two days.

I have received a non-voting badge for conference although I am a voting representative - what do I do?

Please contact the Membership Department at membership@libdems.org.uk. The Conference Office cannot help you with questions regarding voting status.

When is the next Autumn Conference and where?

Our upcoming Autumn Conference will be taking place in Liverpool 18-22 September. For future reference please see registrations for dates of upcoming conferences.

Why can't I register online?

Only party members, registering for the full length of conference, can register online. If this applies to you, please visit on-line registration. If you are not a party member or claimant please download the applicable form and post it to us.

Why haven't I received a receipt for my registration payment yet?

Receipts for registration payments are only sent out upon request due to the volume of forms handled. If you would like a receipt posted to you please contact conferences@libdems.org.uk or clearly state this on your form. If you require a receipt for more than one person, please list the names of each person in your email.

Who can register as a charity observer?

Charity observer passes are only available to charities with a valid charity number; any others will need to register as regular observers.
