Five branches of Liberal Democrats Abroad established

A year on from the launch of Liberal Democrats Abroad, branches have been established in Brussels, Hong Kong, Germany, the Channel Islands and Spain. Further branches are expected to be announced shortly.

On 1 September Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister, and Leader of the Liberal Democrats visited the new Liberal Democrat HQ at Great George Street, which is just off Parliament Square in central London.
Liberal International Congress 16-20 June 2011

Liberal International held its 57th Congress in Manila from 16-20 June, the first time a full Congress has been held in Asia. Organised in conjunction with the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, the Congress Theme was “Human Rights and Trade”.
